~A Little Bit of Decorating~

Hello, dear friends and Happy Tuesday!!
Hope the sun is shining and the birdies are singing, where you are!!!

Many, many thanks to all of you who made my Spring Update such a success!!
I am so very humbled and deeply grateful
for your continued love and support
of what I love to do.....CREATE!!!

THANK YOU for all of the visits, kind emails, words of encouragement and purchases!
My heart is just bursting with gratitude and I can't stop smiling!!

Each year I bring out some special things that I like to display during this time of year!

I know I have shared them before, so hopefully you won't get tired of seeing them again!!!

Woodley and Winslow Rabbit are once again showing off their prize carrots!!
I made all of them a number of years ago
using a wonderful Netty Lacroix design!
Love them!!!

These three pieces were found during my Birthday trip to Prescott!
I just love molds and cookie cutters!!!

This is such a sweet bunny mold, don't you think?

Another bunny with the old sifter and carrots I made,
still available on my Picture Trail Selling Shoppe!

Here is another very big prize carrot that I made and love to display
with my big bowl of cookie cutters!!!

Speaking of cookie cutters,
here are three new ones I also got for my Birthday, while visiting Prescott!
I just love old cookie cutters!!!
Do you like to collect them, too?

A sweet rabbit with an old book that has such great colors!!
I also added the other sifter I still have available and loves how it looks with him!!

I made this rabbit a number of years ago and added some new cloth eggs I made this year!!
He was made using the Velveteen Rabbit pattern I have by Stacy Nash
but he is made from linen instead!!

Sweet little bunny pincushion,
made by my sweet friend Mona, of My Old Crow Primitives,
that I nestled in some flax in my old rye basket!
Isn't he sweet?
Mona makes wonderful primitives that you can find each month on Primitive Handmades Mercantile!

Another wonderful rabbit, also made by Mona,
that I bring out each year! I just love his carrots bag, don't you?

These two characters ALWAYS make me smile
and I love bringing them out each year!!
They are Mama and Baby Hare, a wonderful set I made a number of years ago
by Pineberry Lane!!
Their sweet baskets are a special design by Netty Lacoix and I had so much fun making them
for Mama and Baby!! The basket can actually hang from the wire hanger
but I made them to be able to sit alone and love them that way!!

I had a wonderful piece of upholstery fabric from Johnston Benchworks and added a wool rabbit
to make this pillow that I just love to display!
I always add it to my bowl filled with old coverlet strawberries, since the colors all go together perfectly! I love old pieces of coverlet and treasure them!!

This sweet little plate with linen ornaments is actually still available on my Picture Trail,
but I decided to enjoy it so I displayed it on my favorite old blue chair with my trencher,
old butter stamps and other treen ware!!  Love the blues together!!

A Velveteen Rabbit and Bunny in a Basket, also both still available on my Picture Trail,
are displayed on my old white dresser in my dining room!!
I am not normally a big fan of white furniture, and will eventually paint it black,
but will leave it for now!!
This piece was actually in my Sewing room, but decided to move it here and I really like it,
but will like it even better when it is black!!!! lol

Velveteen Rabbit on one corner!

Bunny in a Basket on the other!

It also goes well with my Black Pincushion cupboard that was also moved here!!
Now I can see it every day and actually enjoy it more!!!

I love being able to see all those wonderful old red tomato pincushions, too!!
They just make me happy!!!

What special things make YOU happy?

Spring is in full bloom here in AZ and each day on our walks we enjoy the beauty of nature!!

I saw this the other day and thought it was so beautiful and wanted to share it,
Especially since I DON'T have a green thumb
but admire all those who do!!!

I believe this is Bouganvillea, and it grows everywhere here!!!

It truly says, SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!!!

Wishing you all the Beauty and the Joy of SPRING, my friends~

Hi Mona,
Thanks so much for your visit!! The bunnies feel right at home here! I am so happy I kept Woodley and Winslow, but they do still miss their brother Walter who lives in Canada!! Still can't believe how heavy they are!! Too much munching on carrots, I'm afraid!! Netty's patterns are a favorite of mine as well! Wish I could send you some of our sunshine! Your bunnies are really enjoying it and it is supposed to get up the 90 this week!! Pretty soon that will be the average temperature here!! I sure do miss those gorgeous Cherry blossoms, too!!!
Hope you have a Wonderful and Blessed Easter!!

Seeing all of your Spring favorites is a first for me and I love them! Those bunnies are so cute and full of personality. Your old molds are very nice and hard to find. What a lucky collection! I have my Mother's lamb mold which was used every Easter with Date nut bread with cream cheese frosting. It was always served at lunch along with her spring sugar cookies decorated with icing and lots of details.

Your spring flowers are gorgeous and lush looking. We have passed the flowering stage down here and now all the trees are filling out with new leaves and the grass is growing like mad. We will be flirting with Summer any day now!! sigh.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend!!

Hi Winnie,
I'm so happy you enjoyed my Spring decorating! I love to bring the bunnies back out and enjoy them during this time of year!! Wish I had the room to keep them out all year long, but that just isn't possible!!! I love old molds and also have a large lamb mold that is old! How wonderful to have your mom's and to treasure the happy memories!
Those flowers are actually a neighbors but it seems they are everywhere and I love how pretty the blooms are!! You even see them along the freeway!!!
It is heating up here in AZ, too, and today it will be 92!! Here comes the HEAT!!!
Hope you and yours have a Wonderful Easter in Venice!!!

Hi Julie,

Great spring and Easter decor. Love all your displays.

We just returned from AZ. last week. We visited Prescott, Jerome, Cottonwood, Valle Verde and Sedona.
I do love the antique shops in Prescott and Valle Verde the best. Found some neat things. Left a few things behind, which I regret.

Yes, I have a wooden bowl of cookie cutters out on display. Found a new one in VV- a fish (in honor of my son who likes to fish).

Belated Happy Birthday - may you enjoy this next decade.

Although I am a "no reply", I do check back to see if you respond. Don't feel obligated to reply.

Hi Charlotte,
So happy you love all my spring/Easter displays!! It is always so nice to bring everything out again!! I think I will just leave it out for a while and enjoy it!!
How wonderful that you visited AZ and went to some fun places!! What fun things did you find and what did you leave behind? I have not been to Valle Verde but will have to check that out sometime!! Maybe next time you come out here we can get together! I always find something fun in Prescott, too!

I love to see cookie cutters in old wooden bowls and have about 4 of them with different kinds of cutters in each one!! Such a fun and easy collection!!

Thank you for the Birthday wishes, too!! I am looking forward to all this year has to hold!!!

I always try to respond here to each person who comments as so many are "no rely" and I hated not being able to respond personally!! So happy to know you do come back!! Hope everyone else does, too!!!

Thank you again so much for your visit and taking the time to comment!!! I truly appreciate it so much!!!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Julie, I loved scrolling through your post. Love that you have a pin cushion cupboard!! I also enjoy collecting old tin cookie cutters. And your butter molds, love them!! I milked cows for many years and made lots of butter. Lots of good memories.
Thanks for sharing! Everything was a pleasure to look at.

Hi Julie,

Thanks for your response. Sorry that it has taken me so long to reply. We left on April 6th for a month trip to France and Sicily. I am just now getting back into the swing of things. Jet lag is brutal. Plus I had a cold for part of our trip and that took a tole on me.

In answer to your question, re: what treasures I found in AZ, when I visited in March. My favorite find was a George Washington Cut Plug tin box. The price was reasonable and I love patriotic decorations so this was a find. I just put out my patriotic quilts and decor and I really love it. Another find was a Red Wing crock in very good condition. I placed this in my sewing room with rolled up small quilts. You asked also what I left behind. I regret not buying a wooden box/with lid (good size). I am sure I could have found a place for it!! Also a child's chair.

Looking forward to your next post. Always enjoy all your eye candy.

Hi Terri and Charlotte,
I have been taking a break from blogging and just now saw both of your sweet comments! So sorry I did not reply before this!! Thank you both for taking the time to leave your thoughts!!

Terri, I'm so happy you enjoy visiting my blog and I just love that cupboard! I have actually changed it up and like it so much more!! What is NOT to love about pincushions, yes?? I also love butter molds and have been so fortunate to be able to find them at great prices! They can be sooo expensive!! I have never milked a cow, but loved seeing all the farms in PA when I lived there! I'm sure you have lots of stories about farm life!!

Charlotte, I can totally relate to jet lag and do hope you are on the mend!! Hope you had a wonderful time on your trip in spite of having a cold!! What adventures you must have had!! I'm sure you are happy to be back home though!! Your new treasures from your trip west sound just wonderful!! Always fun to find those special items that make your heart sing!! Sorry you had to leave some treasures behind!! I can relate and have done it many times!! Chairs and boxes are both favorites with me, as well!!

Many thanks to you both for stopping by and hope you both have a wonderful week!!
