Let your soul stand ajar, always ready to welcome the ecstatic experience. ~ Emily Dickinson

All of us long for a place to belong, a place of safety, freedom, peace and rest......our Forever Home!!

My mother finally left this world behind and was welcomed into her Forever Home by her Lord and Savior Jesus, this past Thursday and though my heart is broken because of my own loss, it is filled with joy because of her gain!  She had a strong faith and believed all of God's promises as I do!
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.  In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going."  John 14:1-4, NIV.

This picture was taken over 20 years ago, but still remains one of my favorites and will be how I remember her....a beautiful, amazing woman that I always admired and loved!! I will miss you Mom!!
One of her favorite hymns was IN THE GARDEN and I thought I would share it with you along with some pictures I took this morning!!

I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses,
and the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
the Son of God discloses,

And He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own!
And the joy we share, as we tarry there,
None other has ever known!

As a result of all that has happened, I have decided to take a small break from blogging, in order that I can have some much needed time to grieve and heal emotionally!!  I thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes and am so very grateful for the love I feel from your friendships!!

I will leave you with one final song that seems so very fitting at this time!

But just think of stepping on shore
and finding it Heaven!
Of touching a hand,
and finding it God!
Of breathing new air,
and finding it Celestial!
Of waking up in Glory,
and finding it HOME!!

I am so happy that you are FINALLY HOME Mom!!  How very thankful I am that I will see you again!!

All my love~

Dear Julie,
Such a beautiful post and tribute to your mom. My sincerest sympathy on your loss.
As a young girl in the church choir, each member had a chance to sing a solo.... In the Garden was the song I sang --- such a lovely song and one of my faves as well....
I wish you peace and comfort as you take time to heal.
Many blessings to you and your family,

Sorry for your loss, when we grieve I always think it's not for our loved ones who have gone ahead of us but for ourselves as we learn how to live without them. They are in a much better place! It is good to give yourself time. Peace be with you♥ ~*~Lisa

So sorry for your great loss, it is very hard not having your Mom with you, but we will see our beloved Mothers again, for the promise is real, and the journey is short, here is a poem for you, I will ask God to hold you close in the days, weeks and months ahead of you.......Kim~

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on. Cherished memories will never fade, because a loved one is gone. Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there is a memory, they live with in our heart...........
