October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
The leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
~George Cooper, "October's Party"

My Harvest Friends!

This is that very busy time of year for everyone and like most of you, I too have been quite busy, to the point that I have sadly neglected my blog AND visiting all of my favorite blogs as well!!  I have had all the best intentions though and have lots to share!  Sadly, all my best laid plans do not amount to much when the dreaded "computer issues" strike, and we have had our share in recent days!!!  Frustrating indeed!!  Happily though, things have been mended, and we are back on track!!  I have been doing some "de-stashing," as well as creating, and have some new albums ready to view on my Picture Trail, if you would care to stop by for a visit!  There are new creations in my new Autumn Album and my MakeDo's Album, as well as what I call, "Attic Finds," things I have decided to let go of and pass on to you!  I will be adding to this album on a regular basis, so please do keep checking back!!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who faithfully follow my simple blog, who stop in for a visit now and again, and who leave a sweet word or two!! I am truly grateful!!  Never underestimate the power of a kind word!!   I also want to welcome those of you who have newly joined in and thank you as well!!  It always brings my heart such joy to see your interest!!!  Hopefully, I will get back on track and begin posting again on a regular basis!!

In the meantime, I hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying this most lovely time of year and perhaps savoring some apple cider and a donut or two!!
 Hmm, sounds like the makings of a party to me.....!

Wishing you October Joys~~

Julie, you comment about a kind word, but seriously, you are probably one of the deareset ladies out there!!

I love the poem that you included at the top!

Oh, how I wish that someday we might drink cider & eat doughnuts together---it does sound like the making of a party. Unfortunately in my land, we are already knee deep in snow, and eating doughnuts with mittens on could be a sticky mess! :)

I'm looking forward to seeing more from you----winter 'tis the season to hunker down and hopefully spend some time sewing!
