Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home. ~ John Howard Payne

I'm back from my trip to visit with my mom and am so very happy I was able to spend some time with her and my two sisters!  Things seemed to be going fairly well until my mom had a set-back and ended up in the ER on Mother's Day!!!  She was very ill and it was not exactly how I expected my trip to be, but I was so glad I was there for moral support!!  She had to stay in the hospital the second week I was there, but we saw her every day and she had the best of care!!  I was so worried that she would still be there when I had to leave, but thankfully, she was released 2 days before my return flight and is really doing well now!!!  It was a scary time for all of us, but God saw us through and I thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!!

When we were not at the hospital visiting, we had a special project going that had been started but had to be put on hold due to all that happened!!  They had been wanting to paint their kitchen, including the cabinets, and so we decided this would be the perfect time to complete it as a surprise!!

All the cupboard doors are removed, waiting to be sanded and painted!!

There were 14 doors and 5 drawers.......plus all the actual cabinets!

Here is the finished result.......What a difference paint can make!!!!

Another view!!

My mom was absolutely SHOCKED when she saw the finished result and was so thrilled!!  I think that was the best gift we could have given her, besides just bringing her back home!!  She kept saying how good it was to be in her own home and I quite agree with her!!!  There REALLY IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!

Now that I am back home, I wanted to also take the time to say a BIG THANKS for all the wonderful comments about my last post!!  Four of the dolls have already sold, but the last 2 are on my picture trail if anyone is interested!

I so appreciate your encouragement and love that you take the time to visit and share your thoughts!!  It really means so much!!  Thank you too, for all of you who follow along, and welcome to those who have just started!!  It is so hard to believe that this will be my 81st post too!!  Thanks for coming along with me on this journey!!!

While I was in NC, I did have some time to work on some projects.  I hope to have these done soon, but for now, here is a little "peek" at what I have been up to!!  I hope to post about them soon!!

Thank you again so much for all your kind thoughts, well wishes, emails and comments!!  I loved my visit but as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz so wisely said, "There's No Place Like Home!"

Wishing you the Warmth of Home~~
